The Power of Intention

Re-positioning furniture, placing a Buddha statue by the front door and clearing away kitchen clutter are all rote Feng Shui cures. Bring a heightened level of empowerment to standard Feng Shui cures by creating and infusing a specific intention into the placement.

Power of IntentionFor example, this morning I pruned my 20-year old oleander bush which dominates the Support Gua (left side of my yard from the perspective of the street.) All the while I was cutting, gathering and filling my 3 over-sized garbage cans with trimmings, I focused on feelings of being supported - support for my son taking his college finals, support for my daughter in her work, support for my husband who faces multiple project deadlines and support for myself and my consultation practice.

Noting the Support Gua is fed with the element of wood, I stripped the base canes of miscellaneous leaves and spindly offshoots, giving new focus to the strong, smooth, leggy stalks of the oleander. The element of wood is now very pronounced!!!

The power of intention can be used with any household task or daily routine. It can transform mundane tasks of washing the floor, driving to work or returning a jacket to its rightful spot in the closet into a prayer of action. Tag on an intention to your daily chores for an enriched and rewarding life.
