Are you a Hoarder or Collector?
According to Russel Belk, a professor of Business at the University of Utah, who is recognized as an expert on consumer culture, a collection must have variety. "If all your objects are the same, you are a hoarder, not a collector." He goes on to say, "Hanging on to useless stuff is often due to a fear of losing your present history and identity - your anchor. That's why it is easier to get rid of stuff when you're in the midst of a life change, like graduation, marriage or divorce"
